The short version
All About Umrah is an Umrah planning guide operated by Umrah Growth LLC. We collect information when you contact us, sign up for our newsletter, or use tools on the site. That information may be used to send you content, respond to your message, or keep you updated with relevant guides and resources.
The sections below explain exactly what we collect, why, and what happens to it.
What we collect and why
Name and email address — collected when you sign up for our newsletter, fill in the contact form, or optionally provide your email in one of the tools. We use this to send you the content you requested, to reply to your message, and to send future updates and guides we think are relevant to you. You can unsubscribe at any time.
IP address — collected only when you submit the contact form. We store your IP address to help us detect and block spam, using an internal blocklist. It is not used for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.
Contact form submissions — the full contents of your message (name, email, reason, and message text) are stored in our database. If your submission is flagged as spam by our automated checks, it is stored separately and marked as spam — we retain it for our own audit trail.
What we don't do
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels. We may use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not track individuals, set cookies, or collect personal data — it counts page visits only. We also collect anonymous page-view counts internally for the same purpose. Neither system is tied to your identity.
The only cookies this site sets are Django's standard session cookie (required for form security) and standard browser session handling.
How long we keep your data
There is currently no automated deletion policy in place. Here is how each record type is handled:
- Newsletter subscribers — if you unsubscribe, your record is marked inactive. The email address itself is retained in our database rather than deleted.
- Contact form submissions — stored indefinitely for audit purposes, including any submissions flagged as spam.
If you would like your data deleted, see the section below — we will handle it manually on request.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete or correct any personal information we hold about you. To make a request, use our contact form. We will respond as quickly as we can.
Who runs this site
All About Umrah is operated by Umrah Growth LLC. Revenue is generated through umrah company directory listing fees and referrals, which are disclosed on the site. We are not affiliated with any umrah company, airline, or booking platform.
